Well it's been a couple of weeks since last post and i'm ashamed to admit that i have done barely any painting. It is not cause i havent wanted to but i have been doing 6/7 night weeks at work this month and it takes alot out of you. Plus add in sleep and family and I had no time for anything. And now with easter coming up and i'm in the same boat. I'm gonna have to make a schedule to make sure i paint more this month.

On a more positive note i have a BB tourny in a couple of days. Looking forward to it even though i don't rate my chances. Gonna try and be more out there. Heres hoping i don't go all shy :D
Here is the team i'm taking

I finished painting most of this team end of last year and just have a couple of models to finish. I sense this is gonna be a friday night job :(

Also the OFL season has started up again with the new era. This era i am taking chaos pact and taking over a existing team called Cereal Killers. Played 2 weeks already and managed a draw in both games against chaos and orcs. The team as is right now consists of:
-Ogre
-dark elf with dodge
-skaven
-gobbo
-4 rookie marauders
-1 marauder with two heads
-1 marauder free agent with blodge, guard, -mv
-1 marauder free agent with block, sure hands, +mv-
-1 marauder free agent with block, guard, tackle, claw, MB
- 3 RRs and apoth.

Finally got some models to post. Sorry for not posting any last week but with A nice chest infection and a wracking cough I got next to none done. Thankfully I made up for it a little this week. Also I heard from a friend of mine about some malifaux games in the area and will be promptly emailing him soon.

This guy I wasn't too happy with as i didnt take enough time with the yellow on him.

This guy here was alot better and am pleased with how my highlighting is coming along. I'm looking forward to painting the last model in this squad and working on something else, maybe their raider transport.

This is a model to go in my helion squad. I'm loving the which models on them as it makes them stand out. Just need to buy some smal magnets to make them stand up.

I still need to get a better camara but that be a few weeks off sorry. I might paint up A couple of skaven this week for age of sigmar as a change of pace. The current paint total so far this year is:
- 4 kabalite warriors
- 1.5 helions

Heya all. I know I missed last week's post but being bed ridden by A sore chest and nasty cough I barely got any painting done. But i have been busy painting and will post pictures tomorrow. But for today it is fluff time. I play in a online BB league called OFL. This era i'm playing Chaos Pact and am taking over a franchise called Cereal Killers. My go-to guys in fluff are Ron Jackhammer and Jolly Pansy and they are back once again to plague the world again. I hope you enjoy it.

Ron Jackhammer: Evening all and welcome to another install meant of the footy show. I'm Ron Jackhammer and with me as usual is Jolly Pansy.

Jolly Pansy: It's good to be back Ron. It's the start of a new era and u can feel the excitement. Who will win? Who will rage quit? Who will come out of the closet? These are all questions we wanna know the answer to.

Ron: That's right Jolly. But today we are just gonna interview the team we are sponsoring this season, Cereal Killers. This team has been around for a while now but this era they are under a new coach, Pdarby. Really? Are we still following the guy?

Jolly: I know Ron, i know. But it's alright. He is not our boss anymore so we don't have to kiss ass. This team though looks pretty solid and will hopefully carry on is continue it's streak of playoff appearences. Our first gues tonight is John Wayne Gacy.

(John Wayne Gacy walks out onto the show and takes a seat)

John: Thankyou.

Ron: So John how did u get into playing bloodbowl? Seems like a odd choice from a guy like you.

John: Well first there's alot of blood but the real rerason is that i can go around killing people and there is nothing the cops can do about it.

Jolly: Sounds like every bloodbowl player i'v ever met.

John: Why's that camaraman looking at me like that? Are you a snitch?

(John gets out of his chair walks over to the camamraman and nproceeds to stab him several times in the chest)

TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES

Ron: Sorry about that all/ We thought we had searched him for all weapons. Also sadly clarence the camamraman died of his injuries on the way to the hospital.

Jolly: I always knew that guy was a snitch. He never accepted my advances. Oh well. Our next guest is tonight should be alot safer. Welcome Karl Denke

(Karl Denke walks onto the stage, avoiding the blood splatter, and takes a seat).

Karl: Thankyou Jolly and might i say you need to put some meat on your bones. Too skinny.

Jolly: Well I have been trying to slim down.

Ron: (rolls eyes) Karl i hear you had a interesting clause in your contract?

Karl: Yep. Anything i kill i get to take with me at the end of the night. Saves alot of time.

Jolly: Ahhh, so u'r a mortician in your spare time?
(Ron leans over and whispers in Jolly's ear)

Jolly: Oh. I like to shoot something out of my cannon aswell.

Ron: SIGH. No Jolly (whispers in his ear again)

Jolly: Really? And u let me sit next to him? (runs of the stage screaming)

Ron: Well looks like our show is ending early today. We shall see you again at the start of week 1. Night all.

week1

Time for the first batch of pictures but first I thought I would post my goals for this year. So here we go.
1) Get better at painting and get more painting done.
2) Try and get more 40k games played. I'm gonna pay my subscription at the local gaming club next month and try and get some games there. Also got a mate who I play occasionally and will try and play against him some more.
3) Try and play more warmachine this year. There is a good warmachine club here with nice friendly guys so will try and go there more often.
4) Try and get into malifaux. Game has intrigued me for a while so will try and get some models and see if anyone plays it near me. If anyone has played it before and has comments on it or even knows someone who plays it in wellington region please contact me.
4) Try and finish painting my orc BB team as well as start a new team (fine out what it is when i start it)
5) Work on my skaven age of sigmar army.
6) Work on my mordhiem warbands (skaven, beastman and humans)
7) Get more fluff done on anything i play.
I think that's about it. I also wanna point something out. If anyone has met me in real life or seen me at tournaments they will know i am a very shy/nervous person. I am nothing like my online self which is very happy, bubbly and go with flow (think that's best way to describe me) So That is why some of those goals are gonna be a bit hard for me as i'm not good around people i don't know, even people i do know to be honest. Ok time for some pictures.

So firstly i need to figure out how to take better pictures :). This is the first of my kabalite warriors. I have enjoyed the yellow/purple colour scheme but i really need to practise my highlighting and shading.

Anyone who plays 40k will tell you that helions are one of thre worse units in the dark eldar army but they are one of the main reasons I want to do the army. I replaced the rider with a wytch model and painted the base to make it stand out a little. I was quite happy with how this model turned out but next time i need to make sure I base coat the base first as I didn't on this one and its a bit blotchy and see through.

I am one of those painters who does 1 model at a time. Yes it means it takes longer but i also don't get bored doing repetitive painting. I will continue working on those 2 units rest of the week and hopefully be able to post full squads next week. Until then let me know any comments. Thanks for reading all.

New start

I suck at painting. It is true. So for my new years resolution i decided that im gonna improove my painting and increase the amount i get done this year. And then i realised that its hard to get motivated when u suck at something so i decided to do a blog where i display and update on how my painting is going. I will be doing once/twice weekly posts with pictures so u can make fun/comment to your heart content.


The first models i decided to paint is my dark eldar army for 40k. I have wanted to do this army for a while but been bad at painting that i never painted them and continued using my chaos army in games. The first models i am painting are a squad of kabalites and a squad of helions. But i will also be doing some models for my age of sigmar, skaven, as well as some tyranids for 40k and also some mordhiem. Photos will be going up next day or two once i get me a new usb cord. So i hope u enjoy the ride and please dont be afraid to put any comment no matter how mean it is.
